The primary mission of the Dade County Sheriff's Office is to maintain social order within prescribed ethical and constitutional limits, while providing professional law enforcement services to all citizens. In order to obtain this, my deputies will enforce the law in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing both the statutory and judicial limitations of law enforcement authority, and the constitutional rights of all persons. We recognize that we cannot operate at our maximum potential without supportive input from from all the citizens of Dade County. We actively encourage the cooperation of our citizens to help reduce crime and help get drugs and criminals off our streets and out of our communities.
